It
is up to the universities. You could try contacting them to see if they
are prepared to commit to a decision now – in effect you will be
presenting your results early. If they all say no, you would able to try
through UCAS Extra and then Clearing.
You could have to work hard to persuade universities. A strong
portfolio and a transcript of results from other parts of the course
might help, as would evidence that you would be a good student
despite the failure on the project.
It might also be worth exploring
with your current college whether leaving is really the only option,
perhaps appealing against the decision if there are any grounds for it.
